About the event

In Denmark, we have almost no ritual acts associated with death beyond the funerals and burials of our Folkekirke. We have no grief period, no black hats and hardly any language. Nothing to say that here is a human being in grief. “I condole” is often the closest thing we get to talking. Death is a taboo, and preferably we ought to overcome the grief  quickly in order to move on.

In "Under the Skin," three actors, along with the audience, seek to break the taboo and defy the fear of touching death. The show wants us to listen and talk exploratory to each other - reach under the skin - and create unique moments that make it easier to be together and reach out when life hurts.
